As with most object orientated languages, the syntax remains the same. For loops, conditional statements etc. ActionScript 2 developers may have a harder time, just as they would have a harder time jumping into an ActionScript 3 project.

Basically, It came to my attention that ActionScript 3 supports static initializers similar to Java.

With W3C working on a GeoLocation specification, and Fire Eagle from Yahoo, you can definitely see this is starting to take off with a lot of traction, and big names behind the ideas.
